c1830 Parian White Ornate China Vase by Samuel Alcock & Co

A 19th Century Parian china two-handled tapered amphora vase decorated in very high relief with numerous applied grapes and leaves. Buyer must pay for added cost of insurance/postage.

The effect is highly naturalistic, with very finely made corkscrew tendrils. This level of detail tends to always be the work of Samuel Alcock & Co. However, there are no maker’s marks for a definitive case. The condition is fare…the handle has been broken off at some point. And there’s scattered damage and repairs  to a few tendrils and leaf tips, plus two or three grapes are missing. Needs cleaning. Shipping extra plus insurance - email for details.
