Yes, this two-faced, white-bearded old man has a lot to answer for… but can he light up a room? I dunno. He’s over 70 years old, give him a break. Forgive him for that time you found nothing but underwear and socks under the tree; for discovering a large orange in the foot of your stocking that took up acres of prime candy real estate; for never bringing a real live pony like you asked. Let it go. It’s time to forgive the white-haired, gin-scented, temporary hire (but that doesn’t mean you need to climb up on his lap for anything - let alone a pic). Stranger danger, people! But I digress.
Remember there’s two sides to every holiday story - just like his face.
Is it rosacea or is it the drink? Could just be a nasty case of frostbite. Same goes for that stern expression and perhaps the grunge in his beard(s). Might just need a good cleaning. In the interest of authenticity, he remains out of the musty box original. Frankly, I think he (they?) likes it that way. Give an old sailor a break, invite him over for festivities “like it used to be.”
